The 33 Universal Principles for your Spiritual Awakening

These 33 Universal Principles are the most powerful methods to ignite your spiritual awakening journey.
During spiritual awakenings, it’s common to feel overwhelmed and confused. You may sense a disconnection from your life and experience unfulfilling relationships.
Suddenly, you start questioning your purpose in this world and who you truly are.
But this is awesome! Here you are, looking for the answers that school, family, religion, and media can’t answer.
You are doing something very few people dare to do. You are searching for a way to unlock your full potential and live a meaningful life!
But I have to be honest with you. These 33 principles were the first thing I learned at the Alchemy School. But I didn’t pay much attention to them. At the end of the year, I confessed to my teacher that I was feeling stuck. And he said something like this:
It’s important to understand that laws apply to everyone, even if they are unaware of them. For example, if you park your car in a prohibited area, you will be fined regardless of whether you know the law.
These 33 Cosmic Laws are no different; they constantly influence your life. So it is better to know, accept, respect, and use them in your favor.
These Universal Principles apply to any tradition, culture, or faith because they are rooted in the fabric of the Universe.
Applying these Laws is crucial not only for Starseeds starting their spiritual journeys. They are essential principles for everyone looking to live a more prosperous life, as well as the Lightworkers helping the evolution and ascension of planet Earth.
Knowledge isn't power until it is applied.
Dale Carnegie
Hermeticism is the most potent knowledge for those who want to change their reality. But I can’t stress enough: you must be willing to study these laws, understand them, accept them, and apply them with perseverance and discipline.
Use this knowledge with spiritual ethics, and be careful not to cause harm or imprison others.

So let’s start with the first 7 Hermetic laws because they are the most important and popular. The book The Kybalion brought these first 7 Universal Principles to the general public at the beginning of the last century.
Not only are these first 7 Laws the most significant and famous, but they also need to be more understood.
1. The Principle of Mentalism
It’s also known as the Law of Oneness, which states:
“THE ALL is MIND, The Universe is Mental” — The Kybalion.
It’s no coincidence that this law is number 1. It holds the highest significance among all principles as it is the foundation for all others.
Firstly, what is The All? Some people will relate The All to God, some to the Tao, some to Ishvara, Allah, and some to Yahweh. There are many names to describe The All.
I prefer naming It “The All” because it’s impossible to have anything outside something that is everything.
Secondly, what does the “Universe is Mental” means? Everything is created in One Mind, the Mind of the Source Energy. We are experiencing life through It. And It is experiencing life through us.
So, there is a Mind behind everything, and each of us is a small part of the One Mind; hence at the deepest level, we are one. We are the sun, the moon, the earth, and all its inhabitants.
It’s only possible to embark on any spiritual awakening journey by comprehending and personally experiencing this concept.
2. The Principle of Correspondence
And what does the principle of correspondence, also known as the “Principle of Reflection,” say?
“As above, so below; as below, so above.” — The Kybalion.
This statement is the basis of the alchemist’s quest. Therefore there’s no simple interpretation of this principle.
But I want to give you something valuable to your life: The traces you see in others are within you, and how you experience the world reflects your internal state.
You are everything, and everyone is experiencing itself as a reflection.
This concept is challenging to accept, especially at the beginning of your spiritual journey. I know, my dear Starseed!
Most of us tend to isolate ourselves simply because it’s tough to understand our community as much as they can’t understand us.
Therein lies one of the points that prove that you are a reflection of people, and they are your reflection. 😊
What happens in the spiritual world manifests in the physical plane and vice-versa. Therefore, the Universe is your mirror.
This principle offers the easiest way to evolve because it is easier to see the faults of others than our own.
In conclusion, learn and change your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors instead of criticizing everything and everyone.
3. The Principle of Vibration
The Principle of Vibration is also known as the Law of Energy:
“Nothing rests; everything moves; everything vibrates.” ― The Kybalion.
At a fundamental level, everything is energy; atoms are the building blocks of the manifested universe.
Consequently, everything is in constant vibration. Nothing is solid; everything is vibrating; solidity only exists through the observer’s perspective.
Laziness and personal growth avoidance are against this principle. Certainly, if you insist on not acting on your emotional pains, they’ll cause mental and physical health problems.
Again, I insist that you use the Principle of Correspondence for your personal development; it’s the cheapest and one of the most effective ways to improve your being.
4. The Principle of Polarity
The fourth Hermetic Law, the Principle of Polarity, reads as follows:
“Everything is Dual; everything has poles; everything has its pair of opposites; like and unlike are the same; opposites are identical in nature, but in different degrees; extremes meet; all truths are but half-truths; all paradoxes can be reconciled.” — The Kybalion
The opposites are identical in nature but different in degree. Hot and cold are different degrees of temperature, while faith and justice are different degrees of love.
This law explains many of the current problems we live with. The world is very polarized. If you’re fighting for a cause, know that the people against your cause are part of the same team, The Polarized Team.
This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t defend your noble values, but when you argue and fight, it shows that you are also polarized.
Everything is the same, and our differences are only extremes of the same One Thing.
Yes, my dear Starseed, this principle is another hard pill to swallow. 😊
5. The Principle of Rhythm
The fifth Universal Principle is the Principle of Rhythm. What does this law say?
“Everything flows; out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates.” — The Kybalion
Everything swings in a rhythmic flow. After the day comes night. After the winter comes summer. Life has a series of ups and downs, and what goes up has to go down.
When you experience colossal excitement, you’ll experience the same amount of depression. The secret is to make the pendulum swing less.
Again this principle urges that we find an equilibrium between the 2 poles. This law reinforces that differences are only extremes of the same One Thing. Remember the Principle of Polarity?
6. The Principle of Cause and Effect
This is one of the most recognized principles of this list because it’s also known as the Law of Karma.
Every Cause has its Effect; every Effect has its Cause; everything happens according to Law; Chance is but a name for Law not recognized; there are many planes of causation, but nothing scapes the Law.” — The Kybalion
Nothing happens by chance, everything has a cause, and for all causes, there is an effect.
All choices and actions have consequences that you’ll personally experience at some level. You reap what you sow.
What you’re reaping now is the fruit of what you’ve sowed; that is a universal law! Changing the future is possible; you’re constantly building your future.
7. The Principle of Gender
This is another very trendy topic. We see a heated discussion around gender. Our society has developed over millennia, ignoring the Principle of Gender. Placing all other genders below the alpha male.
Although a revision of this concept is of extreme urgency and importance, the current discussions still ignore this and all other Universal Laws presented here.
Let’s see what The Kybalion has to say about gender:
“Gender is in everything; everything has its Masculine and Feminine Principles; Gender manifests on all planes.” — The Kybalion
Everything has its male and female principles, not men and women. Male and female is an archetype. These archetypes in ancient China are called Yin and Yang.
In reality, you have the masculine and the feminine aspects within you. Yin and Yang coexist in all of us. And it has nothing to do with the sex you were born with or your sexual orientation.
When you deny either of these archetypes, you create a shadow, meaning you develop emotional and mental disharmony. Leading you to a strong sense of unfulfillment.
The secret to a balanced, fulfilled life lies in the marriage of the Yin force with the Yang force.
As you can see, everything that promotes separation goes against the Divine.
These are the 7 most widespread Universal Principles of Hermeticism. Most people stop here, but there are at least 2 more Laws that are fundamental to understand:
8. The Principle of Free Will
Although this is the greatest gift God has given us, it’s one of the most ignored principles of all.
This law ensures that you can make your own choices. Besides, it’s through free will that you can express your individuality, which guarantees not only the evolution of the being but mainly the collective evolution.
Therefore, you must never hinder the free will of others; doing so is preventing collective evolution.
9. The Principle of Surrender
For creation to exist, God must first release/surrender the outcome, giving them free will.
This is one of the primordial laws of creation. All these 33 Universal Principles are based on surrender and free will; surrender is the purest form of love. It shows how much you trust the Universe.
This principle is also known as the Law of Allowing: “What we resist persists.”
Events are happening for your growth, and when you resist them, you only make things worse. Resistance is a fear that must be healed for your development.
By surrendering, you transform fear into faith. Faith is the driving force of will, and will turn into actions is where manifestation happens.
Now you have the 9 fundamental principles for your spiritual evolution. It would be best to read the following Laws but start studying and applying these first 9 Hermetic Laws to your life.
10. Principle of Transmutation
The higher vibrations consume and modify the lower ones. Choosing faith and surrendering over fear results in growth.
Everything exists and is created in the mind, so individual transformation results in experience change.
11. Law of Subjectivity
Each of us lives a unique and subjective reality created by us in a contract we signed before coming to earth.
Each of us is the god of our existence, a god with a small “g.” This means that we are the protagonist of the dream and the dream itself.
12. Law of Manifestation
Every idea begins as a thought and becomes a reality through action. Thoughts are the seeds of manifestation and require effort to sprout. So you can state that Behavior = Manifestation.
13. Law of Neutralization
This principle is a product of the Principle of Vibration. You can neutralize your present experience by applying the Transmutation Principle.
Challenges and obstacles are only inferior vibrational illusions and can be canceled by generating a higher vibration.
Attention, as stated in The Law of Manifestation, you can cancel challenges and obstacles by changing your behavior.
14. Principle of Faith
As love is the only truth, fear is simply an illusion and can be transmuted through faith. Faith is unconditional love in action.
15. Principle of Belief
Also known as the Law of Expectation. Everything you fully believe in your subconscious mind influences your thoughts, words, feelings, and, ultimately, your behavior.
Your behavior creates your reality, so when you change your beliefs, you change your reality. Have faith; believe it can happen, and let the magic happen!
16. Principle of Action
Or the Law of Behavior. Behavior is the driving force behind manifestation, and actions are energy in motion that generates emotions. Emotions are experienced in the heart center and emit a much stronger vibration than thoughts and words alone.
17. Law of Gestation
This is a fundamental law to be absorbed in your life. Everything has its own time to manifest.
There is a gestation time for all manifestations, which is experienced as a “quantum delay” in materialization. This principle shows us again the importance of the Principle of Surrender.
18. Principle of Prosperity
This is the law of cause and effect applied to abundance. It is also known as the Law of Divine Compensation.
This law is based on how much energy you put into a project or endeavor. The more love you put into your initiatives, the more prosperity you will experience.
19. Principle of Charity
This is the law of cause and effect applied to give to others. The more you give to your community and those around you, the more you receive.
20. Principle of Initiation
Or the Law of Relativity. You receive a series of challenges and initiations to strengthen your inner light and align it with your life’s purpose.
21. Law of Fellowship
The energetic result is exponential when working with others towards a common goal. Communion becomes more than the sum of its parts.
22. Law of Infinite Evolution
Your soul, or rather your essence, evolves from fear into love through reincarnation. Death is an illusion, and your essence will continue to grow toward perfection to infinity. It’s similar to the Principle of Vibration.
23. Law of Wisdom
By obtaining wisdom, you can neutralize cycles of cause and effect. Wisdom is the highest vibration that consumes and transmutes all lower vibrations. On the other hand, ignorance is the cause of all evil.
24. Law of Harmony
It is necessary to strive for balance and harmony with the Universe. This includes, for example, connection in the body through moderate diet and exercise. The extremes are inharmonious by nature and disturb the balance of the Universe.
25. Principle of Abundance
Contrary to popular belief, there is an abundance of all necessary and desired things in the Universe, including the planet Earth.
There can be no limitations because you live in your own subjective reality. Everything will be provided and can be achieved through the practice of faith.
26. Principle of Discipline
When the discipline is applied to action, goals can be achieved quickly, and further evolution can occur. Discipline is the key to rapid growth and manifestation.
27. Law of Alignment
Your behavior is aligned with the reality you experience. You can manifest what you want by aligning your conduct with the desired experience.
28. Law of Forgiveness
When you forgive others, you are forgiving yourself. Through forgiveness, you heal yourself and approach a state of supreme love.
29. Principle of Flow
By practicing surrender and non-resistance, you access the divine flow of creation and experience ease in your manifestations.
30. Law of Grace
People who work for the common good will receive more than they deserve or have worked for. Grace is an exponential force that can neutralize cause and effect.
31. Principle of Healing
You can heal through mental techniques as you express the Wisdom of the Universe. We are healers by nature!
32. Principle of Animism
Everything in the Universe has its own fundamental consciousness perspective, including plants, animals, and rocks. Each one with its own limitations, but remember the Law of Mentalism? Everything is consciousness.
33. Law of Attraction
Also known as Law of Analogy or Principle of Harmony. Our reality reflects our thoughts, words, feelings, and behavior. Our energy travels to higher dimensions through choice and action, later manifested in this dimension.
I hope this knowledge helps you navigate your spiritual awakening journey. That’s my soul’s mission! That’s why I left everything behind to study Alchemy over a decade ago. And I leave you with a bonus Universal Principle.
The Universal Law
Everything in the Universe is love. Love is the only truth; everything else is an illusion. Therefore, love is the only law!
Let the Magic Happen!
